  Seriously best chip shop in Denton/scotswood.
  Went to one up the road today and it just does not compare. Your stuff is cheaper and just simply more gorgeous.

  We rarely have fish and chips and so we can't really have much to compare the food with. Portions are generous, food is tasty and not too greasy and prices are reasonable. Can't complain when a family of 4 (2 adults, 2kids) can eat for 12 quid

  I've been coming to Gormans for years, as did my mother, and I've always had good food from them, I dont eat fish personally, but my family always say its beautiful, fresh fish, with big white tender flakes, their chips are for me, just as chip shop chips should be, the staff are all cracking lasses, always cheerful, and with a friendly word or two, and both staff,and shop are nippin clean! ( a coloquiolism that means absolutely spotless!!) unlike another Fenham chip shop I've been in to, that is the exact opposite of Gormans, on every level!!
  The one thing that would make me give Gormans the full five stars, is if they would go back to wrapping the food the old fashioned way, with greaseproof paper and bags, and paper, instead of the polystyrene cartons, because those things make your lovely food sweat, and they really spoil it! And maybe some more home made, and vegetarian choices, that would be fantastic!!
